This is the moment that retired engineer Jose Luis Pereira captured footage of a work of house rock the measurement of London clock tower Big Ben because it crashed into the planet Jupiter previous this week. This is the first time the rest of its type has been recorded in Brazil and is one thing that Pereira have been seeking to seize for years.
Based close to São Paulo, the Brazilian astronomy fanatic units up his Newtonian 275mm f/5.3 telescope and a QHY5III462C camera to seize photographs of Jupiter and different planets. His camera used to be filming when he spotted a snappy flash of mild on the planet.
“To my wonder, in the first video I realized a distinct glow on the planet, however I didn’t pay a lot consideration to it as I believed it could be one thing associated with the parameters followed, and I persevered observing typically,”
Pereira instructed Space.com that it wasn’t till the subsequent day that he realised what he had captured. He despatched his knowledge to the French Astronomical Society and won affirmation that he had captured an affect on September thirteenth at 10:39 GMT.
