The Night Before Christmas (with apologies to Clement Clarke Moore)
‘Twas the evening earlier than Christmas
And I used to be delirious:
I couldn’t discover the battery
for my Fujifilm mirrorless.
My new X-T5
and all 40 zillion pixels
sat limp in my palms
like a bag of lead nickels.
I searched excessive and low
in my junk drawer and such;
I discovered one double-A
however that didn’t assist a lot.
The outlets have been all closed
I had waited too late.
And I knew the Finest Purchase close to the mall
closed at eight.
I attempted Amazon —
Our entire household is Prime —
however even Jeff Bezos
couldn’t assist me this time.
My daughter stated, “Dad,
cease burning your hair.
that I discovered
to preserve one charged-up spare.”
She opened her camera
(an previous X-T4)
a contemporary NP-W235
popped out of the door.
She was my heroine,
I gave her a hug.
“I acquired so rattling sensible, Dad,
‘trigger I learn Shutterbug!”
So with that my honest daughter
had proven me the way in which
to not run out of energy.
Have a Nice Vacation!
