Support women photographers with the Female in Focus print sale

Restricted version prints by winners of British Journal of Photography’s Female in Focus award go on sale as we speak, with 60 per cent of proceeds returned to the profitable photographers. A number of profitable photographs from 2020 and 2022’s awards, all of that are presently on show at Photofusion, London, will probably be accessible to buy as each framed and unframed prints.

Female in Focus, a global images award from British Journal of Photography and 1854, was established to champion the work of outstanding women photographers from throughout the globe and immediately fight gender inequality in the images trade. This year’s profitable photographs centre round the theme of residence, whereas these from 2020 discover questions of gender, race, sexuality and past.

Chosen by an esteemed panel of judges, together with Karla Guerrero, founding father of Femgrafía and Joanna Milter, director of images at The New Yorker, the prints on sale embrace photographs by 2022 winner Gala Semenova and 2020 winner Jennifer Garza-Cuen. Semeova presents a shifting portrait of a daughter supporting her mom after a most cancers prognosis, whereas ç’s totally different, although equally placing picture, asks what it’s that makes us ‘of’ a spot.
