Nikon Introduces the NIKKOR Z 17-28mm f/2.8 Zoom Lens

Nikon launched the NIKKOR Z 17-28mm f/2.8 Zoom Lens. It is a portable and lightweight lens of approximately 450g. Its focal length offers users a convenient shooting experience, from capturing vivid night scenes, to everyday snaps, without having to switch between multiple lenses. It has a compact body, and is easy to bring around for travels, equipping users with the ability to capture beautiful cityscapes and landscapes on the go.

“It features a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 along with great AF performance and is designed for videos as well. Travel & Landscape photographers, videographers and people shooting weddings can really enjoy this lens for its sharpness and colour rendition,” said Sajjan Kumar, Managing Director of Nikon India Pvt. Ltd.

A constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 with the shortest minimum focus distance of 0.19m (at 17mm zoom position), enables users to experiment with different angles and distances to emphasise the subject or create natural bokeh with the short working distance of approximately 5cm. The lens is equipped with a control ring that offers a smooth feel when using it and without any intrusive sounds, it further allows users to record movies comfortably with a natural shift in focus position and brightness level. The lens is also designed to effectively suppress effects of focus breathing to help achieve smoother transitions in videos among other features.
